James is happy to discuss your individual requirements i.e. your favourite beach or view. Just call or email with your request and James will quickly let you know if it can be done and give you a quotation. Sometimes he can work from your photos but often visits the location himself.
If you see one of James' paintings that you like but you need a different shape, size or a particular colour emphasis, then James will paint to your requirements,
Once you have commissioned a painting, you will be asked for a 20 percent non-returnable deposit (usually cash or bank transfer) and two to four weeks later, your unique work of art will be ready to collect or ship. If you're not pleased with the result (but he's confident you will be!), you don't have to pay the remainder (but of course, James keeps the painting!) Prices are based on cost of materials (and framing, if required) and the size and complexity of the painting.
Please note that the artist retains all reproduction rights and prints may be made from the original. Examples of previous commissions below.
