Had a great bank holiday weekend down at Lopwell. The sun came out, along with the crowds on Monday and it was an enjoyable and successful time. A big thank you to Jayne for allowing me to exhibit there; there can't be many better locations to sit and paint! Also, thank you to everyone that came down, and especially those of you who made a purchase! I''ll be back again for the August Bank Holiday and having painted the view of Lopwell at low tide (see gallery), I'm thinking of painting a high tide version then.

I will be exhibiting and selling at The Old Pump House, Lopwell Dam (near Tamerton Foliot) over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend (24-26th May). I will also be painting whilst there and will be accepting new commissions.
The Old Pump House is a cafe with an amazing nature reserve location right on the River Tavy, with an outdoor terrace where you can enjoy light lunches, cream teas, coffee and ice creams (not necessarily all the the same day!). http://www.swlakestrust.org.uk/lakes-and-facilities/good-food/lopwell After the slightly damp (huge understatement) start we had to last month and the complete washout we had at the Tavi Arts Market, there is cause for optimism this weekend. So, a lovely sunny spring day is on order this Saturday and in any case my paintings will brighten things up.
See http://www.taviartsmarket.com/ for details of this weekend's event. Hope to see you there! |
