![]() A busy summer coming up! Last week I was at Ridgeway School, Plympton, leading an art workshop with fifteen gifted and talented students from years 7-9. Some amazing results which you can see in the window at the Ridgeway Community Shop and Gallery at the Ridgeway shops. This week was spent seeing my children graduate (Joanna - Textiles and David - Medicine) and now getting ready for an art and craft fayre at Harewood House, Plympton tomorrow. Then it's business as usual throughout the summer at Tavistock Pannier Market every Wednesday...but in between I will be at the Ridgeway Community Shop and Gallery from 24-29 July selling my paintings and producing a few new ones whilst I am there. Also, another Lopwell Exhibition coming up over the August bank holiday weekend - watch this space!

![]() Had a great bank holiday weekend down at Lopwell. The sun came out, along with the crowds on Monday and it was an enjoyable and successful time. A big thank you to Jayne for allowing me to exhibit there; there can't be many better locations to sit and paint! Also, thank you to everyone that came down, and especially those of you who made a purchase! I''ll be back again for the August Bank Holiday and having painted the view of Lopwell at low tide (see gallery), I'm thinking of painting a high tide version then. I will be exhibiting and selling at The Old Pump House, Lopwell Dam (near Tamerton Foliot) over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend (24-26th May). I will also be painting whilst there and will be accepting new commissions.
The Old Pump House is a cafe with an amazing nature reserve location right on the River Tavy, with an outdoor terrace where you can enjoy light lunches, cream teas, coffee and ice creams (not necessarily all the the same day!). http://www.swlakestrust.org.uk/lakes-and-facilities/good-food/lopwell After the slightly damp (huge understatement) start we had to last month and the complete washout we had at the Tavi Arts Market, there is cause for optimism this weekend. So, a lovely sunny spring day is on order this Saturday and in any case my paintings will brighten things up.
See http://www.taviartsmarket.com/ for details of this weekend's event. Hope to see you there! Welcome to my new website, officially up and running today!
And it's a sunny day (so far) in Plymouth which is very appropriate as so many of my paintings have blue skies! I hope you enjoy browsing and if you happen to be in Tavistock this Saturday (5th April) you can see many of the paintings close up. See http://www.taviartsmarket.com/ for more details. Many thanks to Jon Garnett-Smith for his very able technical assistance in getting this website ready for today. |
